Have you ever heard of anyone getting a colon infection after an angiogram? it was a heart angiogram through the groin. what could have caused this?

No connection: There should be no reationship between a coronary angiography using the groin or wrist approach and the colon. The dye may affect kidney function,however and one may have an allergic reaction to it. I would say that the colon infection would be coincidental.

During a stress test I was told I had inflammation and needed to get an echo. Afterwards I had an angiogram and that doctor said my heart was perfectly healthy and the inflammation wasn't the heart itself. Should I get an echo prior to my follow up?
