What would be recommended to take care of a sinus infection at home?

Symptom control: Most sinus infections will resolve on their own. Nasal saline rinses, decongestants (afrin nasal spray for up to 4 days but not longer), steam showers and analgesics like Ibuprofen can all help.

Saline: Use saline irrigation, otc decongestants, rest, lots of fluids. See your doctor if fevers persist after a few days, you have significant facial/sinus pressure, etc.
