Moles : not all moles are suspicious but if there is growth, bleeding or color changes, a mole check would be prudent

Check moles?: A yearly total body check is recommended. But in real life very hard to follow. Best you examine yourself often and if you see areas in question than seek derma appointment.

No: Those that should be checked by derm or plastic surgeon are those with rapid growth,itching,burning,pain,inflammation, scalloped or irregular border, multiple colors, size bigger than a pencil eraser, ones that were present at birth, irregular shape, location on the palms or soles, under the fingernail, white of the eye, mucous membrane or scalp--more true if family history of melanoma
