Three options: At 60 you've probably had this thing pop out intermittently for years. Formerly it was common to make an incision and repair the defect. Today there are other options. 1; A minimally invasive approach using a laparocsope to patch the opening from within. 2. Plugging the opening with a mesh through a small incision. If it was my hernia this is what I would choose.
