No rash?: Itching can be from any number of causes including severe liver or kidney problems. However, it is much more commonly from dry/irritated skin. Excessive scratching worsens irritation. If no other symptoms, try aggressive skin moisturization (multiple times a day and always after bathing when skin is moist) with non-alcohol based lotion like Vanicream. Avoid harsh soaps/products (use dove)
