Several possibilitie: Itches like crazy sounds pretty darn serious. You might have someone check for hair lice or other offending agents. Less intense itching might be related to your shampoo, hair products, including reaction to dyes, etc. Less intense itching could also be related to a fungus infection of the scalp, which would need some anti-fungal treatments.
