Make sure first of : All that u are up to date on your tetanus shot. Was it a deep cut? Did u sprain your foot at the same time and cause a bruise? Ice the area, elevate, wash the area with dial soap, and if the swelling and bruising continues you may need to have someone take a look at it for you.
