No,but...: If you have pain there may be something you can do about that though. a spur is just where bone material (basically calcium) has extended into ligaments, the softer material that connects bone to bone or other structures, But it's usually brought about by painful conditions and some of them can be treated and you could feel and do better even if the xray stays the same.

Doubtful: This depends on exactly what and where the bone spur is, and its size, but most bone spurs on the femur are unlikely to resolve spontaneously.
