A member asked:

I'm having a major leg operation on 17th june. i have acid reflux and i'm worrying that the anaesthesia will kill me. will it kill me?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Very unlikely: I have done operations on hundreds of patients with reflux disease under general anesthesia without consequence. While there is never a guarantee, the odds of you dying are remote. Maybe even lower than dying in a car accident. Hope this helps!
