Conscious Sedation: There are ways to alter your conscious state with medications, versed, valium, nitrous oxide that are very helpful. Many times I find out the patient takes longer to achieve profound numbness, you may need more anesthetic and more time for the drug to work. seeking help from a qualified mental health expert(hypnotism, analysis) may help.

Speak to your: parents about your fears. They can help U find a therapist who can teach U hypnosis or another relaxation technique and do something called "progressive desensitization." It helps U imagine the stressful event from the least anxiety provoking moment to the worst while you are relaxed. If you can stay relaxed while imagining going to the dentist, you will be ready to go and get the cavities filled.
