Prob degeneration: Low back pain is extremely common and is frequently caused by underlying degeneration (i.e. aging changes). Fortunately, most back pain will resolve within a few weeks. For now, you can try NSAIDs (i.e.ibuprofen, Aleve), ice/heat, and topical treatments such as aspercreme or capsaicin cream. See a physician if symptoms persist or worsen.
