Cea : Cea is a marker for colorectal cancer. Oncologist use this to trend chemo responsitivity. Since your numbers are dropping, this means the chemotherapy is working. Indie ally you would want the CEA levels to be undetectable.

Encouragement!: Although the tumor markers like CEA are not always reliable but in general the correlate with a response to treatment. But it typically takes 3 values done one month apart to be certain that the tumor is responding well and that you are getting better. This can and should be confirmed with an imaging test like a CT scan or Ultrasound, depending on the location of the tumor mets.
