Warm compresses: I typically recommend warm compresses for possible infections and cold packs for injuries. Draw a circle around boil w/ball point pen or something that won't be easily scrubbed off. If boil grows beyond circle or becomes red and/or painful, then you need to seek medical attention immediately. If you're otherwise healthy, you might be able to fight off on your own.
