Yes: Nicotine does go into breast milk. In some studies, smoking has been linked to fussiness. In one study, 40% of babies breastfed by smokers were rated as colicky. Smoking is also linked to an increased risk of asthma in Children. Its hard to quit smoking but its your best option for the long-term health of your child. Best wishes!
