Probably not STD: Many skin conditions affect the genitals. Some can occur anywhere and happen to involve the genital area; others are specific to the genitals. It's almost never an STD. Since your personal physician is unsure, see a dermatologist, who probably will be able to make an immediate diagnosis. In the meantime, don't worry. Most such conditions are not dangerous and easily treated.
