Ortho consult: Seek the help of an orthodontist. The orthodontist will do a complete work-up including a cephlometric radiograph in addition to a panorex to ascertain your individual needs. If you are not comfortable, seek several consultations.

Orthodontist: There is not enough information here to answer your question. Are you referring to your top front teeth protruding or your lower jaw sticking out beyond your top jaw? You really need to get an evaluation with an orthodontist. Most orthodontists don't charge for an evaluation and during this evaluation they can give you an idea of what your treatment options and treatment time frame is.

Protruding Teeth: Mouths don't protrude, but teeth do. Preventing it may not be possible if the cause is genetic. To treat the problem, see a local orthodontist for a consultation.
