OCD diagnosis: If you are really concerned about OCD and the impact on your life, I would recommend you consult a local psychiatrist. Here is a link to the Yale Brown Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Scale (YBOCS). www.stlocd.org/handouts/YBOC-Symptom-Checklist.pdf A good psychiatrist will perform a more comprehensive assessment but the YBOCS may be helpful in highlighting specific areas and treatment response.

OCD: Is an anxiety disorder characterized by intrusive thoughts that cause apprehension/fear/worry, and repetitive behaviors in attempt to reduce tension & anxiety. Examples are excess washing, cleaning, checking, hoarding, etc. Symptoms are time-consuming & cause more distress.
