No ovulation: the most common cause for a late or missed cycle is that the ovulation did not occur. skipped cycles are usually of no clinical importance. should you not have a period for 3 months you should have a hormonal evaluation to determine the cause. fibroids usually cause excessive bleeding rather than missed periods.
