Time will help.: First, increase hydration. Drink at least 8 glasses of plain water a day. Avoid drying agents, ie antihistamines (claritin, allegra, alcohol, caffeine etc) use a saline rinse kit twice a day. Decongest the nose for 3 days only (choice of afrin, (oxymetazoline) vics, etc) most will be better in 7 days. If symptoms worsen, see a physician.

For cold>: Cold Tips: For sore throat – gargle with warm salt water (1/2 tsp salt in 8 oz of water). * For congestion – saline nose drops or a neti pot. *For anti-inflammatory effect & mobilizing mucus- homemade chicken noodle soup.**For hydration- lots of water. Try clear broth. * Add honey & a small amt. of lemon juice to Chamomile tea.
