Benadryl (diphenhydramine): Consider taking a benadryl (diphenhydramine) tablet to help with the itching. I don't see any reason you can't use a fan, but it might intensify the itching. I hope you get to feeling better!

HIves: Hives can occur immediately after eating squid if there is a food allergy or possibly due to scromboid poisoning if the seafood was improperly handled or prepared. Antihistamines such as Benadryl (diphenhydramine) are indicated in both cases. Both can also cause dangerous systemic reactions that are life threatening and require emergency care. I'm not sure if windy places or fans will either help or hurt you.
