If it is Rx by MD: If your doctor believes that your symptoms require a beta blocker (Atenolol) and Diazepam (Valium), which is a GABA agonist, there are no metabolic or antagonistic reactions or contraindications. For instance, in treatment of benzo and alcohol withdrawal, it might control tachicardia.
