Check with your MD!: Patients who are being treated for anxiety or depression with drugs like Celexa do sometimes need an additional sedative for anxiety (often, Klonopin (clonazepam) or Ativan are prescribed), particularly when they first start celexa. However, the use of both medications can at times cause sedation. Always check with your doctor before combining medications.
