How can i break my own water safely?

Don't!!!: Let this happen naturally! Artificially breaking the water can be very risky if done improperly. We do this in the hospital under very specific circumstances. Rupturing the bag when a fetus is too high in the birth canal can lead to the cord getting trapped between the baby's head and the cervix, this would be almost certainly fatal to the baby if a trained person wasn't there to intervene.

Do not do it: You run the risk of infection or other complications.
