Chlamydia: If you have a urine test that is positive for chlamydia, that is most likely real and you should get treated. Chlamydia is unlikely to show on a culture. The chlamydia test does not come back immediately positive on the day after exposure. the exposure most likely happened 2 or more weeks ago. You and your sexual contact from that time should get treated.

Not next day.: The tests for chlamydia and gonorrhea ( urethral swab, or urine) are valid any time more than 2-3 days after exposure.
