Overuse sunblock: The uv exposure indirectly activates the bad skin T cells and inactivates the good T cells leading to a flare. You cannot accumulate exposure over the course of summer in the sense that you eventually flare. Skin heals. A few days of low-level exposure in a row could accumulate skin damage and cause flare. Don't skimp on sun-block. If you tan, doesn't add flare risk, but u could be more vigilant

Not so bad: The tan will harden you to the sun so you will be less likely to flare from sun.
