Cannot say: First, while all antibiotics kill some of the germs in the stool and change stool characteristics, clindamycin is notorious for promoting the growth of CLOSTRIDIUM DIFICILE which can cause serious bowel irritation to the point of bursting (bad). Metronidazole, pepto bismal are first try. Another antibiotic is stronger. While probiotics would help, the quality control on them isn't very good.

Monitor Closely: GI symptoms from antibiotics are common. However, if the diarrhea persists after discontinuing antibiotics or is severe you need to see and MD to rule out a possible Clostridium Difficile infection. This infection is treatable and can become quite serious if not treated.
