How can an ectopic pregnancy and ovarian cyst affect an at home pregnancy test?

Dr. Wendy Askew
23 years experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Still positive: An ectopic pregnancy still produces the human Chorionic Gonadotropin hormone, so the pregnancy test will still be positive. If you are concerned about an ectopic pregnancy you need to see your gyn asap - to be treated and try to avoid having it rupture.
