Easily treated: A ringworm is a type of fungal infection. The characteristic ring it forms with raised red borders may give it it's name. A topical antifungal cream can be applied to the area which will completely treat this skin condition. This is definitely not deadly only bothersome.

No: Ringworm takes about 2 weeks to manifest after the inoculation/infection has occurred. If she is having any systemic symptoms, they are unrelated or it is not ringworm. Follow your instinct, but consider calling the pediatrician in the morning.
