Trauma?: If your front tooth was hurt due to trauma, you definitely want to see your Dentist for an x-ray and potential splinting. It could be 'nothing' and it could also need to be extracted, due to fracture. Obviously, there are options in-between also. Don't delay, go right away!

See Dentist: See your dentist ASAP. The tooth may be fractured. Or the pulp may be dying and a root canal is indicated. Your dentist may refer you to an oral surgeon or endodontist.

Trauma: A traumatic injury is something that you should get checked by a dentist. The area may heal in a few days but nerve damage or tooth fracture may have occurred so see a dentist .

Contact your dentist: How did you hurt your tooth? If the answer is trauma, through any means, see your dentist. The tooth needs to be evaluated for possible root canal or splinting if warranted. See your dentist to be sure.
