Try OTC med relief : If you have vision change, dizziness, nausea or associated symptoms in your extremities, then seek a doctor right away. Do you have history of migraine? Are you sensitive to the sweetener Aspartame? If you have taken OTC pain relief, like ibuprofen or acetaminophen, without improvement, then that's a good reason to see a doctor too.

Find Cause of HA: There are so many causes of headaches it is difficult to give you treatment on a forum like this. If the headache is mild, you can try Tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen. I assume you have tried these. If the headache is excruciating and like nothing that you have ever had before then seek treatment immediately. You definitely need to see a doctor to try to determine the cause.

Satus headache:: There are many causes of headaches: a persistent headache, despite home/overthecounter treatment requires a comprehensive medical evaluation with either an interventionalist pain management physician or neurologist to try to indentify the actual cause of your headache and what is the accelerator of your headache: facet arthritis, tmj, muscle tension, infections/sinus, etc..

See a doctor: A headache persisting for 5 days is fairly unusual - the best advice is to see a doctor for evaluation of headache, as soon as possible, especially fi there is fever, stiff neck or other bodily symptoms.
