What is cause of very slow heartbeat?

Many things: can cause a slow heart beat. The most common are medications such as beta-blockers and some calcium channel blockers. Being athletic can also cause a slow heart beat. Hypothyroidism is a rarer cause. As long as there are no associated symptoms, there usually is not cause for concern
