AntiCoagulants: Athersclerosis is the b/u of fats, cholesterol, & other substances in & on the artery walls. Anticoagulants are a class of drugs that work to prevent the coagulation of blood. The treatment of Atherosclerosis aims to relieve symptoms & reduce the risk factors in an effort to slow, stop, or reverse the build-up of plaque. An anti-platelet that reduces the platelet aggregation s/b used.
