What's chronic constipation???

Varies: Some people have only one bowel movement a week, yet are not uncomfortable and for them this is quite normal. Other people feel very uncomfortable with bloating and passage of only small, hard stools from once a week to even less often than that. They are advised to avoid harsh laxatives and enemas, and instead drink adequate amounts of daily fluids, eat plenty of high fiber foods, stool softeners
