what other than benzos work in the same way to relax muscles. 5mg valium relieves most of chronic pain for 1/2 days & no side effects. robaxin (methocarbamol) horrid.

Cyclobenzaprine: is a muscle relaxant. It works by blocking nerve impulses and pain that are sent to your brain. Valium, an anxiolytic, is not classified as a skeletal muscle relaxant but is often used in the management of acute muscle pain for short period of time only. Benzodiazepines are very addictive. See your PCP for more information and options.
