A member asked:

Is it normal to have a hematoma or contusion after anticoagulant injections even if the contusions are not where the injection site was?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Anticoagulants increase your bleeding risk so it's not uncommon to have more bruising or bleeding. If you do have hematomas, you should show the doctor that is prescribing the anticoagulant to you. Sometimes the dose needs to be adjusted.
