Continue the BC pill: To stay on track and not get confused, it is simplest for a woman to continue her oral BC pill as if nothing else had happened. The emergency contraceptive pill should rarely be needed, when a woman is properly taking her birth control pills. Her bleeding or spotting may be irregular for this current BC pill pack and perhaps her next pack.
