ProbabelyDueToMigrai: My question is why were you prescribed Omeprazole and at what dose Migraine can cause nausea too or it may be due to your original condition for which you were prescribed Omeprazole. And of course it can be due to Omeprazole Talk to your Doctor

What is more important: proper hydration or cooler temperature to reduce nausea in early pregnancy?

Acupuncture is best: I think fatigue has a lot to do with how sick you feel, so i usually recommend sleep. Acupuncture has been shown to help in some good studies, and my patients have done very well with that also. It's always good to stay hydrated, but i haven't heard that helps with nausea in pregnancy. Most pregnant women run hot. I've not heard that cooling affects nausea, but you might feel better overall.

Will the alcohol in breath mints and mouthwash cause nausea if I am taking flagyl?

No: You are correct that you should not drink alcohol when using Metronidazole (flagyl). The small amount of alcohol in a breath mint would not be enough to trigger a reaction.

Yes: About 75% of migraineurs (people who have migraine headaches) are women. That means 3 out of 4 migraineurs are women. Before puberty, more boys than girls get migraine headaches. After puberty, more girls have migraines than boys do.

How can I tell if I have a migraine or a sinus headache?

CT of head/sinuses: A good clinical exam can usually distinguish a migraine from sinusitis. The definitive exam for sinusitis is a ct of the sinuses. A ct of the head is important for migraine.... But usually a good exam by a neurologist can determine if you have migraines.

Are there ways to prevent nausea and vomiting with leukemia?

Yes: Several different agents can be used for nausea and vomiting caused by chemo. There are drugs like Zofran (ondansetron) and anzemet. Marijuana also helps and the active ingredient is marinol, but my patients swearing smoking marijuana was better for their nausea than the marino.
