A member asked:

Can excessive underarm sweating during the day be a sign of cancer? its both arms, no sweating at night and worse at work. im a 36 year old male.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not sign of cancer: Excess sweating during the day is not uncommon depending on the working conditions and temp. This is a phenomenon of overactive glandular activity.Cancer can occur in the sweat glands but is a very uncommon malignancy. Botox has occcassionaly been used to diminish the sweating process. One should also check for presence of diabetes as well as hyperthyroid disease.
