Have a bumpy rash on my back pain in my bottom ribs and on the rash its self?

Hard to know: A new unilateral rash on the back associated with deep pain can potentially be shingles. A physical examination and interview is needed to confirm or offer potential alternatives.

Need eval to know.: This rash needs to be visualized & a history needs to be obtained in order to make an accurate diagnosis. Sometimes lab testing is necessary.
