Ingrown nail: Possibly. If there is tenderness on the side of the nail, and the skin on that side is thickening, the most likely cause is an ingrown toenail. I would see your Dr or a podiatrist to be sure, because they can become very painful if infected! Good luck! (Sometimes soaking the foot in warm Epson saltwater helps!)
