10-11 Hours: Young children have busy lives with school and do lots of brain activities thru the day. Sleep is when the brain repairs itself from stress, converts newly learned items into long term memory and continues to grow. Stop all electronics one hour before bed and calm the house down. Use sleep sound machine to produce soothing noise to help the brain relax at night. No caffeine after 12 noon!
