A member asked:

I had a test with total cholesterol of 3.8, hdl 0.2 and ldl 3.2. i need assistance on how to improve the hdl and lower the ldl. thank you?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Exercise: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, your total cholesterol and LDL are not a cause for concern. If you reported your hdl correctly at 0.2, that is lower than desired. Consult your doctor to start exercising and reduce intake of saturated fats.
