I call it pstello-: -femoral stress syndrome (PFSS).Same. U have poor alignment & plica removal does nothing 2 correct alignment. If it is a persistent problem, C a fellowship trained sports medicine orthopedic surgeon. There R some surgical procedures that improve it. Some R soft tissue & some involving bone or some need both @ the same time. Good luck!
