Yes, several options: Use a stool softener and drink as many liquids as possible. Hydration will help! Pain meds cause constipation secondarily. If you've not had a BM in one day, will need a stool softener and a stimulant laxative to assist. Sometimes a glycerin suppository can help locally to soften the stool.
