Is surgery often needed for snapping scapula?

Snapping scapula: syndrome is usually treated conservatively without surgery. Rest, NSAIDs therapy and at times coorticosteroids, but if the boney anatomy of the scapula is such that it is debilitating and persistant then surgery can be offered, this is rare.
