Pain Deep in Vagina: I doubt anything got damaged but it is best to see your provider and get checked out.

Unlikely: Perhaps your (new) partner is longer than previous partners? Or perhaps you tried new positions that allowed for deeper penetration. Or perhaps it's related to your time of month? Regardless, try side-by-side (spooning) & woman-on-top positions to give you more control. If pain persists, go see your Family Doc for evaluation. Oh, and adequate foreplay is imperative to allow for lubrication.
