Yes & no . . .: While amitriptyline, is more well known & more commonly prescribed to treat neuropathic pain, it is metabolized into nortriptyline which thus has similar properties & uses (http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/neurology_neurosurgery/centers_clinics/peripheral_nerve/patient_info/NORTRIPTYLINE_2007.pdf & http://www.dermnetnz.org/treatments/amitriptyline.html). However, I couldn't find any info re tremors

Yes, NO: It is often helpful for neuropathic pain, from neuropathy. But it is of no help for tremor, and may actually cause or worsen tremor (but it may not, as well).
