Why do i get heartburn almost every time i eat? it's a lot worse at night. wake up in night nauseous and need zantac (ranitidine).

GERD: You may have GERD that is not responding to ranitidine. If you take your ranitidine at night, and take an alternative like omeprazole or lansoprazole in the mornings, and your heartburn resolves, then it's likely GERD. But there are conditions that can contribute, and with a history of thyroid cancer you should have your thyroid stimulating hormone checked. Ask your doctor for more information.
