Microprolactinoma: It sounds like you have a pituitary microadenoma that is producing prolactin. Although cabergoline is a very effective medication to lower prolactin and shrink the size of the tumor, it only occasionally "cures" the disorder. Prolactin levels typically rise again when you stop taking the cabergoline.
