Not necessarily: If there is any chance of pregnancy it could be a miscarriage. If not it is probably just a hormonal shift or change and will go back to normal next month. If you think you are bleeding so heavily that you may be becoming anemic or if you are having dizziness see a doctor immediately for a blood test. if your periods do not go back to normal in a few months again see your doctor.
